The Flashers Photo Group

Flashers are anyone who is interested in photography. Suggestions are made for a theme, a photo outing is planned around the theme and off we go. There is no money charged for this. All you need is the desire to shoot or express yourself. All ages and skill levels are welcome. If you aren't familiar with your camera...no prob. Come a bit early and I'll give you the 411.
No camera? No prob. I have several. We always have a mix of analog (film) and digital flashers. After we get a few good outings under our belt, we have an annual show and chili cook to share our creativity. Everyone sees something different even at the same spot. No pressure, no judging, no cash prizes. This is just for fun and to feed the creative NEED. Check back for future flashings. We will try to do one each month.

Transportation Museum Spencer, NC

Flash back in time and capture killer images of old cars, scooters, trains and more. This is an awesome place. DRESS WARM. They have the largest roundhouse in the country. We've only been here once and that was several years ago and right before they closed. Looking forward to it.

APRIL: Waterfalls and Woodlands.

I only post the so-so shots on the blog cuz I'm saving the hot shots for the show.

The idea is JUST TO GET OUT AND SHOOT SOMETHING.

The 2009 show: "Stimulus your package" was well-attended. I wish more of you had submitted new work though.

The purple LED balloons were a cool touch, the chili was awesome as usual and the movie, which was actually a collection of animated shorts and videos was an excellent surprise. It was so good we watched it again the following morning after a hearty breakfast at the Penguin!! YUM.
The weather was perfect and the bonfire was nice and warm.

Our 6th Annual Show & Chili cook will be
OCTOBER 16th, 2010 at

7 pm. Bring lawn chairs.

Image Submission deadline for the show is September 14th.
We build a Powerpoint presentation for the show, so prep your images accordingly.
